Responsibilities and Duties
Researching, designing and implementing wireless networking protocols for network hardware and software applicable to military networking systems such as UAV swarms
Conducting high-fidelity network simulation studies to verify design, specification, and performance
Researching hardware and software solutions including tools and techniques and making improvements for wireless network optimization, additions, and upgrades to meet government requirements
Documenting network configurations and protocol specifications for reports and publication materials such as research papers
Managing and maintaining a smooth operation of network environments while working with an interdisciplinary team of systems, network, software, and hardware engineers
5+ years of experience with a B.S in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or 2+ years of experience with a M.S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or recent Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science
Sufficient expertise in various Internet protocol standards (e.g., RFCs) applicable to mobile ad hoc networking (MANET)
High proficiency in C++/Python
Moderate proficiency in MATLAB
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, frequently changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams
Dedication to excellence
Extensive knowledge of, and experience with military communication systems such as Link-16, CDL, TCDL, MADL, TTNT, SRW, etc.
Programming experience with CORE and/or EMANE
